How do I find my group?

The easiest way is right in the app. In Kyiv, search for your street and house. In Cherkasy, Zhytomyr and Poltava oblasts, start with the name of your town or village. In other regions, pick your group from the list.

Your group number (operators also call it a queue, «черга») is also on your operator's website, in its search by address or account number, and often on your electricity bill. If you already know it, tap "I Know My Group".

Why doesn't the schedule match what's happening?

Svitun shows the schedule the operator publishes. Power can still go off outside it: during emergency outages, after a fault on the line, or when the operator changes the schedule during the day.

The app shows when the schedule was last updated and warns you if the source hasn't responded for a while. For Kyiv buildings with a SvitloBot sensor, you can also see whether the building has power right now.

Where do the schedules come from?
  • Kyiv: YASNO's schedules for the DTEK Kyiv Grids network. If YASNO doesn't respond for a long time, the server temporarily takes the schedule from an open file published by the Baskerville42/outage-data-ua project.
  • Kyiv Oblast: DTEK's schedules, collected by the Baskerville42/outage-data-ua project.
  • Kharkiv, Poltava, Cherkasy, Chernihiv and Zhytomyr oblasts: the regional operators' schedules, collected by the yaroslav2901/OE_OUTAGE_DATA project.
  • Search by town or village: the address lists published by Cherkasyoblenergo, Zhytomyroblenergo and Poltavaoblenergo.
  • Power in the building: SvitloBot, a volunteer project.

Why isn't my region in the app?

We add a region as soon as we find an open source that regularly publishes its outage hours. Some operators don't yet publish them in a form that can be read without getting around their website's protection, and that is something we don't do.

How do I delete my data?

Delete the app, and your addresses and settings go with it. Our server holds nothing linked to you. See the privacy policy for details.
